Arrive at the start of the trail and begin a journey, track(in) time ...

Did you find the five animals along the way?

Life in the time of Coronavirus led many people into their local patches of greenery for Natural Distractions, and for a while, these jaunts were limited by time allowed, and even time of the day. For many it was the first time they had a real opportunity to open their eyes to the wildlife that inhabits such areas; be it feathered, furred, or even scaled.  This trail entices the tracker to explore and discover different ways of seeing and sharing nature; with local parkland treasures providing Natural Distractions of all kinds. A soul-saving salve.

Please do share your experiences along this trail by tagging your Instagram or Facebook posts with #Naturaldistractionstrackintime #Heartsbeyond and tag FUSE Darebin

About the Artist

Alice Ewing has been fascinated by nature for as long as she can remember. Family holidays in wild places led to the development of a fervent desire to capture the curiosity and beauty of diverse natural treasures; through a broad range of techniques, such as illustration, needlefelting, photography, and stencilling.

Alice works as an ecological / zoological consultant, but is always keen to take any opportunity to combine her art, in conjunction with her ecological work.

As a Deaf person, Alice has a strong affinity with the visual world and seeks to share her passion for nature with others, through capturing a microcosm of nature, which may otherwise be overlooked.
