Staying Apart Keeps Us Together
By Catherine Dunn
Catherine Dunn (she/her) is an advocate and artist driven by her experiences growing up as a Deaf, cis, queer woman in rural Victoria. She draws upon her experiences being bilingual, fluent in English and Auslan, to employ her understanding of words and spatial usage to convert her work. Fascinated by contradictions as she is often torn between worlds, she utilises puns and visual illusions to challenge people's perception.
Staying Apart Keeps Us Together encourages people to reflect on their experiences during lockdown and find comfort in the shared space that distanced us all.
